SERVICE NO: TSS035
Endotoxins, known as lipopolysaccharides (LPS), are components of the outer membrane of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria. It is extremely hard to remove them by simple sterilization. Endotoxins can initiate a strong immune response that may lead to severe complications such as endotoxin shock, organ failure, tissue injury, et al. Due to the harmful effects of endotoxins, controlling the protein endotoxin level has become a critical focus in the medical field. E. Coli is a preferred system for recombinant protein production because it generally provides the most cost-effective solution. However, there are several limitations, include difficultly in producing proteins with strict endotoxin condition requirements and low secretion efficiency of secretory proteins. To overcome these limitations, BOT Bioscience has developed an Endotoxin-Free Expression System, which is able to express a wide variety of proteins and oligonucleotides that are identical to their wild-type counterparts.
