      The yeast expression system is an efficient eukaryotic protein expression platform, combining the simplicity of the prokaryotic system with the protein processing capabilities of higher eukaryotic organisms. Using hosts such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, this system can achieve the correct folding, disulfide bond formation, and basic glycosylation modification of exogenous proteins, and is particularly suitable for the expression of eukaryotic proteins that require post-translational modifications. With a clear genetic background, rapid growth characteristics, and mature gene manipulation tools, the yeast system has irreplaceable advantages in vaccine production, industrial enzyme preparations, and the preparation of complex eukaryotic proteins, serving as an important bridge connecting prokaryotic expression and mammalian cell expression. The common yeast expression hosts used for recombinant protein expression include Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Pichia pastoris, Hansenula polymorpha, Yarrowia lipolytica, Arxula adeninivorans, Kluyveromyces lactis, and Schizosaccharomyces pombe. In Abvigen, various host cells and vectors are available for yeast expression.
